PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Graphite electrode, mainly made of high quality petroleum coke and needle coke, coal tar pitch as binder, is prepared by calcination, compounding, kneading, pressing, roasting, graphitization and machining. According to the quality, it can be divided into regular power, high power and ultra high power.

APPLICATION

Regular power graphite electrodes have low current carrying capacity as compared to high and ultra-high power graphite electrodes. Such electrodes are majorly used in electric arc furnace for steelmaking, silicon refining and yellow phosphorus refining.

High power graphite electrodes, mainly used in electric arc furnace and ladle furnace for manufacturing of non-ferrous metals and medium-and low-grade steel.

Ultra high-power graphite electrodes are mainly used in steel smelting process utilizing large capacity EAF and in ladle refining furnace. The UHP electrodes are impregnated with special pitch in the furnace to increase their strength and density.
